Fikret MOUALLA (1903-1967) : AU CAFÉ. Gouache, signed upper right and dated 54. 49 x 64.5 cm. Mounted on hinges. Paper pencil annotations on the marie-louise, inner cardboard and back cardboard 2197/2. Former provenance: Pierre Devraigne, then by descent. Mr Marc Ottavi has kindly confirmed the authenticity of this gouache which now appears in the archives of the catalogue raisonné of the work of Fikret Moualla, currently being prepared by Mr Marc Ottavi and Mr Kerem Topuz (volume II). A work in the same spirit is reproduced in volume I of the catalogue raisonné of Fikret Moualla's work, under n° 1006, p. 219, MAS éditeur, Istanbul. For each of these two works, a certificate of authenticity, at the request and expense of the purchaser, will be drawn up by Mr Marc Ottavi.
