Important tapestry Verdure probably representing an allegory of the myth of Venus and Adonis. On the right, Venus and Adonis getting ready to leave for the hunt. On the left a couple of peacocks, one of them perched on a sheath. In the center, the tree split in two by Cinyras, Adonis' father and grandfather, stands out against a French garden background. The border is decorated with a garland of flowers and fruits, and a bird in a cartouche. H. 234 cm - L. 364 cm. Modification in the dimensions, resumptions.
