Large Persian miniature depicting a couple seated under a canopy in a garden, surrounded by dancers and musicians. The scene is taken from Hafez's Diwan. Ink, gouache and gold highlights on vellum. The miniature is framed in the upper, lower and left margins by a frieze of stylized motifs and gold floral scrolls on a blue background. Sight: 23.5 x 14.5 cm.
