THE GRATEFUL HOMELAND CROWNS REPUBLICAN VALUE AND HEROISM. Pen and ink, oily wash. 28.5 x 47.5 cm. Spots, tears at the top left. Origin: - probably the drawing presented at the Year III competition, second prize. - probably given by Peyron in 1794 to Gabriel Bouquier. - probably acquired by Edouard Galy after the death of Françoise Zénobie Bouquier in 1866.
