Play table in veneered wood and inlay decorated with reserves of different wood species and mother-of-pearl drawing geometric patterns. The swivel table unfolds to reveal an interior filled with green velvet. The inner tray in three parts discovering a checkers game and a backgammon game. The arched legs joined by a spacer shelf. Work on the Mediterranean Basin at the beginning of the 20th century. Height: 80.5 cm. Width: 83.5 cm. Depth: 43 cm. Provenance: Offered to Professor Hartmann by the Sultan of Morocco Mohamed V (Hassan II's father) in gratitude for an operation in 1952. Offered upon the death of Professor HARTMANN to Mr X. in recognition of his services as maître d' from 1929 to 1953.
