Fikret MOUALLA (1903-1967) : AU CAFÉ, 1944. Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right. 46 x 27 cm. Former provenance: sale Maître Claude Robert, Hôtel Drouot, 19 May 1976, No. 143. Mr Marc Ottavi has kindly confirmed the authenticity of this oil, which now appears in the archives of the catalogue raisonné of the work of Fikret Moualla, currently being prepared by Mr Marc Ottavi and Mr Kerem Topuz (Volume II). A work in the same spirit is reproduced in volume I of the catalogue raisonné of Fikret Moualla's work, under n° 0136, p. 55, MAS éditeur, Istanbul. A certificate of authenticity, at the request and expense of the purchaser, will be drawn up by Mr Marc Ottavi.
