Navy officer's dagger. Handle with grooved mother-of-pearl plates. Chased and gilded brass mounting, pommel with lion's head, double chain guard and "S" quillon. Half-orifice with anchor on the obverse and sunburst on the reverse. Curved blade with flat back and engraved hollow sides. Brass scabbard with two rings and two simulated brass bracelets engraved with reeds and spider webs. L. : 42 cm. A.B.E. Restoration period.
