Collection of "bronzes" from Vienna
The small bronze figures in bright colors, made in Vienna, Austria, by the factory of Franz Bergmann from 1850, are bronzes of a rare quality. Often small in size, the Vienna bronzes can vary from a few millimeters to nearly a meter. Attractive objects, these sculptures of great finesse surprise by their vivacity and their sometimes very funny side. To protect the quality of the production, the Viennese workshops decided to stamp their production "Geschützt", which means "protected" or "registered". This stamp guarantees the origin Bronze of Vienna and the nature of the metals used which will compose the alloy used for the manufacture (more than 50% of yellow copper and zinc).
