Charpentier Fasquelle, Paris 1898, 13,5 x 19,5 cm, bound in slipcase. - First edition, numbered copy 29 of the deluxe edition printed on Japon and limited to 50 copies, first edition. Mosaic binding in full burgundy morocco, spine with five raised bands set with dotted lines and decorated with double gilt boxes with medallions in their centers. The inner boards in brown morocco lined with a frieze of golden mantling. Binding of the time signed Creuzevault.
The volume is decorated with sixteen watercolors by Edmond MALASSIS (1874-1944), including six full pages illustrating the title page, and the five acts, each signed and dated 1911, five adorning the didascalies of the first scene and five adorning the end of each act, signed or monogrammed.
