Russian icon depicting the Hospitality of Abraham (or Holy Trinity). The scene is painted in a partially arched, slightly recessed reserve. In the foreground, Abraham and Sarah offer hospitality to three visiting angels. At top left, the palace represents Abraham's tent. On the right, a calf is sacrificed by a slave. The main scene is framed by an Archangel on the left and Saint John the Baptist on the right. Tempera on wood. Probably Novgorod, 18th century. 35.5 x 30.5 cm. Very small chips and repaints.
