Delft, 18th century. Large round earthenware spice box with blue monochrome decoration of landscapes animated by characters in the Chinese style. The borders are decorated with a frieze of pearls in relief, and the lid is in the shape of a spinning top supported by four scrolls. Interior with seven compartments. H. 14 cm - L. 29 cm. Significant enamel damage, one lid scroll damaged.
